Installing the Operator Tablet (Pro Plans only)

This guide provides guidance on where to locate and install the Operator tablet. This is only applicable to customers on a 'Pro' plan.  

 

Item Checklist

Before you begin, please ensure you have the items shown below.

Samsung Tablet x1
The FourJaw Tablet comes pre-installed with FourJaw’s WebApp and is secured by Samsung Knox. 
Power cable Charging Cable x1
Extra long charging cable to power the tablet device. 
Tablet Case Empty - without (1) Tablet Mount x1
A secure, universal mount allows you to locate the FourJaw tablet at a location to suit your operators.
Mount arm Power Supply x1
An adjustable arm for the tablet mount allows positioning where the operator needs it.

 

Installation Steps

FourJaw Manufacturing Analytics Ltd is not responsible for any installation actions or omissions. These guidelines provide recommendations only and do not cover all aspects of electrical installation, which require the expertise of a qualified installer.

Each machine is different, and it is the installer's responsibility to ensure all actions are safe for the specific machine. The customer is solely responsible for selecting a competent installer.

FourJaw Manufacturing Analytics Ltd accepts no liability for product failure due to improper installation.

 

1. Turn on the Tablet

  • Open the tablet packaging and press the shorter side button to power it on.
  • The tablet is pre-configured with Samsung Knox and already connected to your Wi-Fi network.
  • The FourJaw WebApp will launch automatically once the tablet connects to Wi-Fi.

Note: The packaging may appear opened — this is normal. Each tablet is pre-set so it’s ready to use straight from the box.

 

2. Log In to the FourJaw WebApp

The FourJaw platform will load automatically, and the login credentials are pre-saved.

All tablets use a shared login:

  • Username: TabletLogin
  • PIN: 8-digit code (available in the platform’s settings page for future reference).

3. Pair Tablet with a Machine

Select a name from the dropdown menu to pair the tablet with the machine. The tablet can then be placed to one side.

4. Find a Location for the Tablet Arm

Install the tablet mount close to the machine controller to give operators easy access to the FourJaw platform.

Unpack the mounting arm and tablet holder, and follow the manufacturer’s instructions for installation.

NOTE: Ensure a 240V power socket is within reach to keep the tablet continuously charged. The tablet cannot be charged via the MachineLink USB ports.

6. Assemble Arm and Mount

  • To mount the tablet to a machine or workspace using the arm provided, please remove the white foam inserts and the two top black supports.
  • Replace the bottom support with the black foam provided in the kit.
  • This foam will support the tablet once it is installed.

7. Locate Tablet in Mount 

  • Locate the tablet into the mount with the locking bracket located at the top.
  • Place your mounted tablet into your desired location as identified in step 04.
