How To Troubleshoot Tablet Connection Issues
If your operator tablets are not showing live data or appear offline, follow the steps below to check and restore the connection.
Check tablet power & charging
- Make sure the tablet is turned on.
- Use the FourJaw-provided Samsung charger and cable, plugged directly into a wall socket.
- Do Not power the tablet from a MachineLink USB port or any other device.
If the tablet doesn’t turn on, connect it to the charger, wait a few minutes, then try again.
Confirm Wi-Fi settings
- Open the Wi-Fi settings app on the tablet
- Make sure Wi-Fi is turned on
- Check that the tablet is connected to the correct network
If the Wi-Fi is not connected, select your usual network and enter the Wi-Fi password if prompted - If you have an error or it won’t connect, turn the Wi-Fi off, wait a few seconds, then turn it back on and reconnect
Check Wi-Fi signal strength
- Open the Wi-Fi checker app
- Leave it running in the background for a few minutes
- Take a few pictures showing the signal strength readings
- Send these images to support@fourjaw.com so we can check for any network issues
