How to read the Operate Productivity Dashboard

This article will go through all the things you can learn from the dashboard displayed on the tablet in front of a machine.

Choose a time period

Operators can choose what time period to display. Depending on shift patterns and cycle times it might be useful to show this job, the last 60 minutes, this shift or today. They can also review what happened yesterday or on the previous day or night shift.

OEE / Utilization thermometer

Depending on whether your factory uses Utilization or OEE as its main productivity metric, you will see the Utilization or OEE for the chosen time period in the thermometer on the left.

Productivity Dial

Here you can see your machine productivity at a glance.

    • The current status is in the middle
    • The dial is colour-coded to show up and downtimes for the chosen time period
    • You can see how long the machine has been in its current status
    • You can click on the back arrows to review the reason for a particular downtime in the past

    Cycles and Stops

Whether cycles or stops are more important to you will depend on your business. You might want to reduce your machine cycle times or reduce the number of times your production line is stopped. Here you can see the number of cycles (period of uptime followed by period of downtime) the machine has been through in the chosen time period, and the average time a cycle takes. You can also see the number of downtimes (not including machine being offline) and the average time the machine is stopped for (not including offline time). If there are fewer than 7 uptime periods in the time frame chosen, no averages are shown.

    Machine Status Summary

These cards summarize the amount of time the machine was in each of 4 statues during the chosen time period. By changing the time period operators can compare productivity today to what they did yesterday.
