FourJaw Technology Summary

FourJaw is a web-based manufacturing analytics platform. It works by combining plug-and-play IoT hardware to capture machine data and connects to the internet to send machine data securely to our platform.

About FourJaw Description
What is FourJaw? FourJaw is a manufacturing analytics platform that captures machine data (Energy & Productivity) and visualises uptime, downtime, downtime reasons and job progress for machines where it is installed. This data allows manufacturers to understand where process improvements can be achieved and savings made.
What software is involved? FourJaw is a web-based Saas platform.
What hardware does the platform require? There are three core hardware components of our platform. An IoT device (MachineLink) that collects and sends data. Current clamps are used to measure the data, and if you choose our Pro Plan, a Samsung tablet is provided so machine operators can input downtime reasons and see their shift productivity in real time.

Current Clamps: Monitor machines by measuring the current going into the machine using non-invasive current clamps (CT Clamps) on the power cable going into the machine.

MachineLink IoT device: The current clamps feed data to a box that processes the signal, and then to the MachineLink IoT device that sends the data over Wi-Fi or ethernet to the internet. These are Linux-based IoT (Internet of Things) devices.

Samsung Tablet: Secured by Samsung Knox, the tablet is locked down to the FourJaw web app. We default the web app to run on Google Chrome to access cloud data for the machine it is paired to.
What browsers can be used? What plugins are needed? Is there a client installation? FourJaw web app can be used on Google Chrome, Microsoft Edge, and Firefox. By default, customers using the FourJaw tablets, have the browser set to Google Chrome. FourJaw does not require any plugins and does not require installation.
Integrations
Does the FourJaw platform integrate directly into the control systems of machines? No. Productivity is measured by non-intrusive current clamps on the power supply. No connection is made with the PLC of a machine.
Does the FourJaw platform have access to machine toolpath filenames and part geometries? No. No connection to the PLC, so no access to this proprietary data.
Does FourJaw need access to my on-premise servers? No. It just needs access to the internet. This does not have to be done via your main company network.
Does FourJaw need to integrate with any of our other software systems? No, the platform is standalone so does not require integration with ERP or MRP systems.
Training, Support and Updates
What training is required? The FourJaw platform is designed to be intuitive and once data classification has been completed can be used without training. However, our Knowledge Base provides information about FAQs and troubleshooting instructions. The FourJaw Customer Success team is also available to help customers to set up and use the system.
How can I get support? Email any support enquiries to support@fourjaw.com. Monday to Friday, 8:00 am to 5:30 pm (GMT).
How is the platform kept up-to-date? Web-based remote updates are typically deployed on evenings and weekends.
